It’s time to add a few more candles to the birthday cake – America’s getting older. According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau data, the core of the American population is growing older. Adults 65 and older now account for over 38 million people, around 12.8% of the American population, and this number will only continue to increase as the first of the boomers celebrate their 63rd birthday this year.
